As players explore the world of Yaesha in Remnant 2, they may encounter a hollow tree that leads up to a large blue bird. This creature can appear on the Far Woods, Forbidden Grove, and Withering Weald maps, and fans that want to access its nest will need to make it move. This guide is here to provide details on how that is done, and players that follow along should ultimately be able to get past Remnant 2‘s big bird.
Remnant 2: Bird Nest Guide
After approaching the big bird on Yaesha, players should simply explore every corner of their current map, even revisiting areas that have already been revealed. While performing this thorough exploration, Soulslike fans should listen for loud shrieks, which indicate that the big bird has flown away. Players will then be free to enter the bird’s nest and collect the item that is within it.
To note, if a Remnant 2 player finds that the bird is not moving after they have explored every inch of the map, there are a few things that they may want to try. Indeed, some fans report that they have seen the bird fly away after performing the following actions, though exploration alone should be enough to trigger that event:
- Kill the red birds that fly around the map.
- Die.
- Leave the map, reload it, and explore again.
One action that is not included on that list is killing the Mother Mind on the Nameless Nest map. Indeed, while there is some indication online that slaying this Remnant 2 boss will trigger the event, that is not the case, and players can absolutely get past the bird in campaigns without the Mother Mind. Fans should feel free to kill that boss if they see it, though, as it drops a crafting material that can be used to create the Tremor weapon mod.
For those players that are trying to decide if it is worth putting time toward moving the big bird, the item in its nest is the Kuri Kuri Charm. This amulet increases Relic Use Speed at a rate that is determined by how much health the Remnant 2 hero is missing, and it also grants a small chance to not consume Relic Charges upon use. While it is true that this may not be the best amulet in the game, players that obtain it early during their playthroughs may still be able to put it to good use.
Remnant 2 is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
